Last but not Least

The hardest and most aquired learning action shot out there.......panning

The point of panning is to make your subject in focus (minus moving parts) and the background be a big blur.

The location I took this is where I have now taught both of my children to ride their bikes and also where I learned to drive a car.

Peak of Action

Missed a day, so here is yesterday's:

This is peak of action, it is a SLOW shutter speed catching the peak of an action shot. When action hits a peak it actually stops for a second and then resumes in the opposite direction, I managed to get them both at a peak.

Slowing Action

Here I slowed the shutter speed enough to blur enough to show that there was action and he was not just posing like that. Slowing action allows a photo to show there really was action and you weren't taking a posed picture.

Stopping Action

This week I decided to do a theme. It is a week of different actions shots!

The first one is stopping action. This picture shows that he was running down the court and I took the picture at the perfect settings to completely stop the action.
